He pleaded guilty in March 2017 to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud. He has been in custody since the time of his arrest in August 2015.
According to plea documents in the case, from November 2013 through August 2015, Amuegbunam and other individuals, sent fraudulent emails to companies in the Northern District of Texas and elsewhere, containing misrepresentations that caused the companies to wire funds as instructed on a pdf document that was attached to the email.
The investigation of this particular scheme began when 2 companies in the Dallas/Fort Worth area reported to the FBI Dallas office that they had received targeted spear phishing emails.
These emails appeared to be a forwarded message, allegedly from a top executive at the company, sent to an employee in the company’s accounting department who had authority to make financial transfers for the company.

The Enugu State Chapter of the APC has threatened to expel Foreign Affairs Minister, Geoffrey Onyeama, for allegedly altering its list of delegates
All appears unwell between the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Enugu and the Foreign Affairs Minister, Geoffrey Onyeama.
The party has a bone to pick with the minister ahead of the party's forthcoming national convention.
Chairman of the APC in Enugu, Ben Nwoye, made the threat at a press briefing, where he accused the minister of ‘sowing seeds of discord’ .

The APC in Enugu has been rocked by crisis after a faction of the State Working Committee attempted to oust the chairman, Nwoye.

Confusion over the delegates list from the recent local government congress has deepened the crisis. This follows the alleged submission of a ‘harmonised’ list to the national secretariat of the party, after the party’s congress appeal committee had accepted the list submitted by the committee.

Onyeama is rumored to have updated the list with the names of some prominent members of the APC in the state, who were not present during the congress.
Reacting to the development while addressing journalists in Enugu on Tuesday, Nwoye said the minister lacked the powers to ‘harmonise’ the delegates’ list.

The Enugu APC chairman warned that the minister was on the verge of being expelled from the party.

How To Keep Your Kids Safe From Kidnappers

Posted By: Y.F.N

TEELOADED News speaks to a policewoman, Esther Seidu, who examines the rising cases oft kidnapping and the safety of our children ahead of school resumption in September
The schools are resuming and you are already shopping for the start of a new academic session.
The kids are excited about the new uniforms and shoes as well as the joy of reuniting with their friends but some parents aren’t so excited.
Since the last kidnap of six students at the Lagos State Model College in Epe, you have been more worried about the safety of your kids in school.
Stories about toddlers and kindergarten aged children going missing without a trace have also not helped your fears.

We know what you’re thinking. We feel your fears…we are worried too, but we cannot sit and leave things to chance.
Bounce News spoke to a policewoman who examines the safety of our children from the perspective of a mother and a security operative.
Mrs Esther Seidu of the Lagos State Police Command has worked on several kidnap cases. Some ended well while others are better left untold.
In all her experiences, she has learnt a lot of life lessons that she believes should guide many parents who are truly interested in keeping their children safe in school.
Here are some of her recommendations:

Know Your Children’s Friends
Children are quite unpredictable when it comes to loyalty to their friends.
When you don’t allow them make friends for fear of the unknown, they will seize any opportunity they have to do so.
“For example, when they are closed from school and the schoolbus is not ready, they tell their friends ‘let me go with you to your house’ and these could be friends you don’t even know,” she said.
Rather than leave them to make such decisions on their own, why not feature in such friendships and other companies they keep?
They will be free to tell you their movement and when you disapprove of some decisions, there are chances that they will understand that you must have a reason.

Have A Relationship With Their Teacher
This is simple. If the school or their staff are not accessible to you as the parent, withdraw your child.
“I’ve seen a situation whereby the parents are separated and the father goes behind to pick the child from school and before we found out, he had already killed her for a ritual.
“These children spend more time in school, so the next person to trust your kids with is their teacher. Let them be free to call you when they notice anything strange,” she said.

Give Your Kids Your Best
This is not about giving children all they want; we don’t want to spoil them but it is more like reducing the rate at which they wish they were someone else.
You don’t need to be rich to ensure that your kids don’t feel needy among their peers or older people.
Mrs Tunwase said: “If their friends go to school with juice and they never have it, they can easily be lured. So, make sure they are not prown to being lured.
“For example, I go to my daughter’s school periodically to find out what her mates take to school and make sure they are always ready for her.
“I buy in bulk so that I won’t run out of it in one or two months. Let them know you love them.”

Never Talk To Strangers
She also advises that parents make it a standing order for their kids never to talk to strangers but the issue is, how do you monitor all their activities when you have to earn a living too?
“Children are very easy to influence and that is why many of the younger ones are easily kidnapped but you can use this nature to your advantage too.
“Be the one influencing them. Always tell them never to talk to someone they do not know and they will gradually get used to it.
“Have a good relationship with your children. When they return from school, ask them how their day went, if they met any strange person or what happened in school.
“Trust me, a lot is happening in schools and you need your children giving you all the update.”

Discuss The Trends
We have reached a point where we should discuss the news with our children, not just their homework, television and religious topics.
You do not have to scare them or make them feel like a target but there is no harm in ensuring they read about kidnap cases and how they were hatched.
It’s not enough to stop them from talking to strangers, you need to discuss the reasons why. “They are children but they actually understand a lot.”

Make Friends With Neighbours But Draw The Line
Mrs Seidu warns that asides the high-profile armed kidnap operations as witnessed in the Epe school, “most of the time, kidnap of children come from familiar people”.
It is therefore better to draw the line, even for relatives and neighbours. Your kids should not be familiar with everybody.
“When they see the uncle next door, they will not resist. That is why I will advise that if there is a particular person you trust them with, let it be that person alone, don’t just change people.”

Make Your Kids Memorize Your Phone Number
Finally, experts say you can introduce the idea of numbers when your child is as young as 12 months by counting small sets of items.
When your child is two years old, she may learn to count up to 10 by memorization.
Although she may not really understand the concept of counting objects yet, the fact that she's reciting numbers means she's learning the correct names.
Dear parents, slot your phone number into the exercise. It is as simple as, “what is daddy’s phone number?” and she goes 0-8-0-2…etc. You will be surprised how this can help you.
They are our future, invest more time in them

A woman, Omotola Akerele, has alleged that a pastor, Mathew Olakunle, had sex with her when she was undergoing spiritual healing in his church,an intercourse that resulted in pregnancy.
It seems this 'Man of God is in the habit of showing his clients another level of grace.
Olakunle, who was the head of the Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Itura, in Iju town, in the Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State, was allegedly fond of praying for women in the church without their clothes on.
It is a practice that is capable of leading a 'man of God' into the valley of sexual perversion.
The 32-year-old woman, said her mother, who was a member of the church, introduced her to the pastor when she was battling with severe cough and the pastor apparently wanted to cure the cough through sexual intercourse.
Omotola, who is married walked down the road of adultery with the pastor, but it came with a repercussion.
She explained that after the intercourse with the pastor, she became pregnant, but had to abort the pregnancy without telling her husband about it.
She said: “I had severe cough and my mother took me to Pastor Olakunle Mathew for prayer.
“After praying for me, he said I needed a shaving stick and a handkerchief to perform the spiritual exercise, which I took to him.
“The pastor told me that he wanted to use my pubic hair to perform some spiritual work that would solve my spiritual problem.
“On the night of the first day that we got there, he asked me to put off my clothes in the presence of my mother to pray for me in the mission house.
“After that day, he often asked me to come for deliverance and whenever I got there, he would ask me to remove my clothes and lie on a bed. While also naked, he would lie on me and start praying for me.
“On the seventh day, he shaved the hair on my private parts and armpits, and put the hair in the white handkerchief. After that, we had sexual intercourse. After the intercourse, he asked me to go and bury the hair in the handkerchief".
Omotola added that a month after the incident, she was pregnant and aborted it.
She was not, however, able to hide it totally from her husband.
When her husband got to know about it, he sent her out of her matrimonial home.
The pastor admitted praying for the women in the church naked, adding that God answered the prayer of naked people faster.
Olakunle, however, denied having sexual intercourse with Omotola.
He also denied impregnating her. He, however, admitted to having sexual relationship with her younger sister twice and had prayed for their mother too while naked

Woman arrested for defrauding N7m from her Business Partner

Operatives of the Lagos Rapid Response Squad have arrested one Gladys Assah – Asor for allegedly defrauding her business partner, Nkiruka Okon, of N7million.
The 35 year old graduate, a single mother from Cross-River State, lives at 33b Silifatu Abioye Street, Ogba, Oke-Ira. She works as a network marketer for a popular product based in Ikeja.
The suspect confessed to the crime during an interrogation by the RRS Decoy Team after her friend and business partner, Nkiruka Okon made a report of fraud against the suspect before her arrest.
Assah – Assor in her words said, ‘I met Okon in Port-Harcourt in 2008 where she works as a banker with a commercial bank. We were just friends as at then.
But later in 2015, I marketed a product to her called Healthy Halogen Oven, a product imported into Nigeria by a networking marketing company called Avenues to Wealth.
As a network marketer and a partner to the company, my duty is to bring potential customers and partners into the business for a win – win profit making both for the customer and myself.
I told Okon about the Healthy Oven which was one of the products of Avenues to Wealth sold for N12,000 at company price.
We agreed to partner in buying large quantity of the product, myself and Okon would put together the financial capital while I do the marketing and transportation of the product to the customers”.
Nkiruka in her words said “ I got interested in the healthy oven marketing business and decided to go into partnership with Gladys, whom I have known since when I was residing in Port-Harcourt.
We agreed to buy about 410 units of the oven from the company where one sells for N12,000n and agreed to sell at the rate of N20,000.
I made a deposit of N4,500,000 to Gladys account on the agreement that after sales I would be collecting back N7.5m plus the profit  but she refused to stick to the plans as agreed in our memorandum of understanding.
After I contacted her for my money, she refused to pick my calls and absconded for over one year. Then, I realised I have been duped by the person I thought was my business partner”.
‘All effort I made to persuade Gladys to pay my money proved abortive as she continued to give me one excuse or the other.
During one of our confrontations in 2016, Gladys issued me a dud cheque  of N3m, N2m and another N2m making N7m in total but the bank told me the cheques were not payable’, Okon stated.
Meanwhile, it was discovered in the course of investigations that Gladys also duped another lady who investigators declined to reveal her identity.
Assah-Assor also confessed to have duped the lady to the tune of N1.8m in a car purchase deal she brokered.
Assah – Assor in her words confessed to have linked the lady to an auto dealer from whom her sister wanted to purchase a Toyota 4 wheel drive worth N3m. She had convinced the lady to pay for the vehicle in installment.
She confessed to have collected the first tranche of N1.8m on behalf of the auto dealer. The bubble burst  when the lady demanded for a refund and that she was no longer interested in the deal upon realising that Assah-Assor was up to some games.
She disclosed to investigators to have used proceeds from the second fraud to open a catering shop business, bought car, travelled out on vacations and got a suitable apartment for her family.
Confirming the development, the Police PRO, ASP Smart – Cole stated that the case has been trabsferred to the SCID, Panti for further  investigations and prosecution.

Every Nigerian Has The Right To Live Anywhere – President Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday issued a stern warning to those issuing quit notice to other ethnic groups in their region. Buhari gave the warning in an early morning national broadcast to Nigerians.
Recall that while he was in London, a group of Northern youth had asked all Igbos in the region to leave before October 1.
The President said every Nigerian has a right to live anywhere in the country, while stating that the country’s unity is not negotiable.
“Every Nigerian has the right to live and pursue his business anywhere in Nigeria without let or hindrance.
“I believe the very vast majority of Nigerians share this view.
“Nigeria’s unity is settled and not negotiable. We shall not allow irresponsible elements to start trouble and when things get bad they run away and saddle others with the responsibility of bringing back order, if necessary with their blood.”
He added, “This is not to deny that there are legitimate concerns. Every group has a grievance. But the beauty and attraction of a federation is that it allows different groups to air their grievances and work out a mode of co-existence.
“The National Assembly and the National Council of State are the legitimate and appropriate bodies for national discourse.
“The national consensus is that, it is better to live together than to live apart.”
He recalled his encounter with the leader of the failed Biafra Republic, the late Chief Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu in 2003.
“After I joined partisan politics, the late Chief Emeka Ojukwu came and stayed as my guest in my hometown Daura. Over two days we discussed in great depth till late into the night and analysed the problems of Nigeria. We both came to the conclusion that the country must remain one and united.
“I am charging the security agencies not to let the successes achieved in the last 18 months be a sign to relax.
“Terrorists and criminals must be fought and destroyed relentlessly so that the majority of us can live in peace and safety.
“Therefore we are going to reinforce and reinvigorate the fight not only against;
“Elements of Boko Haram which are attempting a new series of attacks on soft targets, Kidnappings, farmers versus herdsmen clashes, in addition to ethnic violence fuelled by political mischief makers. We shall tackle them all.
“Finally, dear Nigerians, our collective interest now is to eschew petty differences and come together to face common challenges of; economic security, political evolution and integration as well as lasting peace among all Nigerians.
“I remain resolutely committed to ensuring that these goals are achieved and maintained. I am so glad to be home.”

jenifa dairies
jenifa dairies.
Nigerian actress and Jenifa’s Diary star, Olayode Juliana popularly known as ‘Toyo Baby’ has revealed the reason behind her false claims
The revelation comes following her confession in her book titled ‘Rebirth’ where she revealed she was molested at a young age by a married man who was also her music teacher.
Toyo Baby had in the book revealed that the encounter occurred when she was 17 years of age.
Speaking on why she lied to Nigerians especially on her stance against pre-marital sex, the actress said: “People had assumed I was a virgin. I had never said I was but I had never corrected their assumptions either. So, I was still in that fix.
“Shortly after my confession, Ebony Life TV called me for an interview. I went and for the first time in my several interviews, I was asked point blank if I was a virgin. I tried to evade the question, but my interviewer was not having it.
“She demanded for a yes or no. I did not see the question coming and I lied. I said, “Yes, I am a virgin”. Immediately the interview was over, I hurried to the bathroom in the studio and cried. I felt terrible for lying and told God I was sorry.
“I called Dee on my way home and confessed my wrong. I explained further when I got home. The next thing he said shocked me. He said, “Call her and confess the truth. Ask for a rescheduling of the interview; do it again and undo your mistake.”
“I was not going to do that. I felt it was my secret and the whole world need not know about it. I was upset with myself, however, for answering her.
“So, I proposed never to answer such again', she said

Over a hundred people have been killed while thousands were affected by floods and landslides triggered by monsoon rains across Nepal
Is there a plan to wipe out human existence with floods?
This is happening few hours after 312 people were killed by mudslides in Sierra Leone and another 21 killed by flood in Bangladesh.
About 35 people are still missing and 39 injured as emergency workers scrambled to supply relief to areas devastated by the floods.

Torrential rains battered the low-lying region bordering India for three days early in August.

The government has sent helicopters to a dozen districts where people were desperate for food and clean drinking water, Ram Subedi, a home ministry spokesman, said.

“We have sent food packets to people because they have been without food for several days. We have also sent tarps, clothes and cooking utensils,” Subedi said.

“We have been distributing free medicines to flood-affected people for a week. We have also sent water purifiers to prevent water-borne diseases,” he said.

The Home Ministry said 26,000 emergency workers, including police officers and soldiers, have been deployed in flood-hit areas across the country.

Some pensioners - (Google Photo).
The National Orientation Agency (NOA) says it will support a bill seeking to outline privileges and opportunities for senior citizens in the country
Old Peoples Homes are not common in Nigeria because we attach a high level of respect for the lessons we are privileged to learn from our elders.
The Director-General of the NOA Dr Garba Abari, believes that the care for the elderly in the society should be a national concern.
Members of Coalition of Societies for Rights of Older Persons (COSROPIN) visited the NOA headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday.
Abari said that the coalition of different organisations would provide a stronger voice for the domestication of the bill and also facilitate advocacy and sensitisation to the grassroots.
“I urge all stakeholders across private and public organisations to contribute their quota towards improving the lot of the elderly in our society.”
The NOA boss pledged the commitment of the agency to the cause, saying it would deploy all the messaging platforms to promote the bill.
Abari said that the NOA would work with the coalition on the laudable initiative in line with national service.
Earlier, Senator Eze Ajoku, the President, COSROPIN, said the coalition was formed to address issues affecting the elderly, while protecting their well-being, dignity and welfare.
“We want NOA to add a stronger voice to this course by taking the message to all nooks and crannies of the country,” Ajoku said.

Living conditions are hard in Venezuela. There is chronic food shortage and people have sometimes been seen foraging in garbage for food
Captured in the jungle and kept in the zoo for man’s amusement, people in Venezuela still found their way to steal the animals and eat them.
But it is not entirely the thieves’ fault.
Things are hard in Venezuela. There is chronic food shortage and people have sometimes been seen foraging in garbage for food.
The animals were stolen from a zoo in western state of Zulia and police suspect they are being turned into local delicacies.

A police official said two collared peccaries, which are similar in appearance to boars, were stolen over the weekend from the Zulia Metropolitan Zoological Park in the sweltering city of Maracaibo near the Colombian border.
"What we presume is that they (were taken) with the intention of eating them," Luis Morales, an official for the Zulia division of the National Police, told reporters on Tuesday.
The chaotic collapse of the country's socialist economic model has created chronic food shortages that have fueled malnutrition and left millions seeking food anywhere they can find it.
President Nicolas Maduro blames food shortages on opposition protests that have blocked streets and highways and a broader "economic war" led by adversaries with the help of America.

Ibrahimovic is expected to be handed a new deal once he recovers from his long-term knee injury, as he hopes to play in a squad that now has Romelu Lukaku.
The 35-year-old could be handed a fresh contract in January that will see him play till end of the season, and afterwards, he could be drafted to assist Mourinho.

Asensio scored a screamer in the 4th minute as Real Madrid confirmed their superiority with a 2-0 bashing of Barcelona in their second leg Super Cup clash
Marco Asensio is playing his way into the hearts on many football fans and he gained even more grounds with yet another sensational strike on Wednesday.
Asensio scored a screamer in the 4th minute as Real Madrid confirmed their superiority with a 2-0 bashing of Barcelona in their second leg Spanish Super Cup clash.
But despite the high ratings for Asensio's latest 'Wonder Goal', the Real Madrid star picks his earlier strike in the first leg as the better of the two goals scored.
"Both of the goals were important in the tie," the Spaniard said.
"The first goal was nice, as was tonight's (Wednesday) but the one at the Camp Nou was more complicated and was very important."
With Cristiano Ronaldo's suspension, Asensio will likely see an increase in playing time, which he intends to take full advantage of.
"I work hard to have as many minutes as I possibly can," he added."I want to play from the beginning like I did today but I am happy with how things are going."

The Police in Ogun on Wednesday arrested a 77-year-old pastor, Samuel Babatunde and two other suspects in connection with the discovery of suspected human parts buried inside a church.
Babatunde is the founder of Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Itedo Isinmi Ayo Parish, Egan Road
in Iyana-Iyesi area of Ota in Ado-Odo Ota LGA of Ogun.
The state Police Commissioner, Ahmed Iliyasu, who paraded the pastor in Ota, told journalists
that the discovery followed the arrest on Saturday of a suspected serial kidnapper, Jeremiah Adeola.
He said, Adeola, 32, who specialised in kidnapping children, confessed that the pastor of the
white garment church was the receiver of the abducted children.
The CP added that a 43-year-old herbalist, Haruna Afolabi, was among the suspects, who
allegedly buried the human parts at the entrance of the church.
According to the police boss, operatives attached to the police Area Command in Ota on
Sunday received intelligence about Adeola and arrested him.
Iliyasu said, “On the strength of the intelligence, detectives from Ota Area Command were
detailed to effect the arrest of the suspect.
“At about 10.20 a.m. on Saturday, their efforts paid off when the said Jeremiah Adeola was
 arrested.
“On interrogation, Adeola confessed being a serial kidnapper and mentioned a prophet of a
white garment church as the receiver of the kidnapped children.
“Upon interrogation, Adeola was taken to the house/church of the said prophet at Iyana-Iyesi Ota,
where one Prophet Samuel Babatunde, 77 years, the pastor in charge of the church and one
Haruna Afolabi, 42 years, a traditional worshiper, were arrested.
“The floor of the church was dug as described by the first suspect and parts suspected
strongly to be human parts were dug out,” Iliyasu said.
The commissioner said the police command would conduct forensic investigation into the case.
He assured that all those found guilty of the crime would be brought to justice, adding that
Ogun State would never be a safe haven for criminals.
Speaking in an interview with newsmen, the pastor denied the allegation levelled against him.
Babatunde explained that a pig was buried alive inside the church contrary to claims that
 human parts were buried there.
He said that he carried out the act in order to bring good fortune, prosperity and comfort to his
 congregation.
Babatunde said though he met Adeola at a prayer mountain in Ibadan, he never had any
dealing with the alleged serial kidnapper, whom he accused of being mentally unstable.
However, Adeola insisted that the pastor was the receiver of some kidnapped children.
He said the cleric paid him N50,000 each for the two children he supplied him.

ABEOKUTA—Men of Ogun State Police
Command have arrested a pastor and thre
e other suspects in connection with the
discovery of human parts buried inside
 his church in Ota.
The state’s Commissioner of Police,
Ahmed Iliyasu, who paraded the cleric
yesterday in Ota, said the arrested
77-year-old prophet, Babatunde, is the founder
of a white garment Church at Itedo Isinmi Ayo
Parish, Egan Road in Iyana-Iyesi area of Ota.
The Police boss, who conducted newsmen round the Church’s premises, said the discovery
followed the arrest, on Saturday, of a suspected serial kidnapper, Adeola.
Police’s story
According to Iliyasu, Adeola, 32, who specialises in kidnapping children, had confessed that the
prophet of the white garment church was the receiver of the abducted children.
The Police Commissioner added that a 43-year-old herbalist, Afolabi, was among the suspects,
who allegedly buried the human parts at the entrance of the church.
He said: “Police operatives attached to the Area Command in Ota, on Sunday, received technical
intelligence about Adeola and eventually apprehended him.
“On the strength of the intelligence, detectives from Ota Area Command were detailed to effect
the arrest of the suspect; and at about 10:20a.m., their efforts paid off when the said Adeola was
arrested.
“On interrogation, he confessed being a serial kidnapper and mentioned a prophet of a white
garment church as the receiver of the kidnapped children.
“Upon his revelation, he was taken to the house/church of the said prophet at Iyana-Iyesi Ota,
where one Prophet Babatunde, 77, a pastor in charge of the church and one Afolabi, 42, a
 traditional worshipper, were arrested.
“The floor of the church was dug up as described by the first suspect, and parts suspected to
 be human parts were found.”
The Commissioner said the Command will conduct forensic investigation into the case and
assured that all those found guilty of the crime will be brought to justice.
I only buried a pig in
my church—Prophet
However, the prophet denied the allegation, saying that a pig was buried alive inside the
church contrary to claims that human parts were buried there.
He explained that he carried out the act to bring good fortune, prosperity and comfort to
 the congregation of the church.
The embattled cleric, who revealed that he founded the church in 2005, expressed regret
over the incident, which he blamed on the devil.
Babatunde said though he met Adeola at a prayer mountain in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital,
he never had any ritual dealing with the alleged serial kidnapper, who he accused of mental
 instability.
He’s lying—Kidnapper
But Adeola insisted that the pastor was the receiver of some kidnapped children, saying the
cleric paid him N50,000 each for the two children he supplied to him.
The suspect said one Olaniyi, still at large, introduced him to the business of kidnapping in
2013 in Ibadan, where they used a commercial vehicle.
